HS - Hirschler Windscreen and Windshield

Hirschler Üvegipari Vállalkozás

Company Profile

By 1999, the 3200 m² factory proved to be too small; therefore, the preparation and planning of a new plant was started. Two and one half years later, in 2001, the new plant on 8800 m² was inaugurated.

In terms of logistics, the location of the new building is excellent, since it is close to the customs, the ROLA terminal and also because it is well connected to the main roads and highways in the area.

The enterprise is operating on the total of 12000m² using the latest technology in windscreen production.

The annual capacity of the plants is 5-600 000 pcs vehicle windscreens / windshields -- depending on the model -- and 300 000 m² of flat laminated safety glass.

Company History

Glass has been involved in Hirschler family history since the 1800's. The first glass production shop was founded by Rezső Hirschler in 1899. His business specialized in art and architectural glazing.

As vehicles became more and more popular after the 1970's, the production of rear-view mirrors became the most important activity, which led to significant development in the company. The profession was passed from generation to generation, keeping the tradition and gaining more experience in the glass business.

Following the footsteps of his ancestors, László Hirschler founded the Hirschler Üvegipari Vállakozás in 1989, creating the current basis of windscreen production.

Due to continuous research and development, production has been growing from year to year along with the product range that includes more and more sophisticated components.
